World Environment Day celebration in RVK CBSE Schools
June 5: World Environment Day was celebrated in 14 Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra CBSE Schools across Karnataka with joy and fervor.
World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5th every year and was started in 1973 with the theme, One Earth. This year the theme is Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience.
Celebration Specials:
- Programs such as tree planting, environmental song, dance, painting, skit, poetry reading, video screening, speech, etc. were organized in several schools.
- Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Srinagar, Mysuru : Children put seedballs at the foothills of Chamundi Hill.
- Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Davanagere : 7th and 8th class children made 1500 seedballs in Petal Garden.
- Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Vijayanagara, Mysuru : Organic Agriculture Specialist, Sri A P Chandrasekhar informed about healthy environment.
- Rashtrotthana Vidyalaya – Dharwad : Vidyarambha on Environment Day. Sri Shatasthala Brahma Jade Siddeshwara Shivacharya, Dodavada, gave divine presence.
- Rashtrothana Vidyalaya – Davangere: Awareness jatha, saplings were distributed.
- Jnanabharati Vidyamandir – Chitradurga : Shri Ravindranath, Education Convener, Department of Public Education, was present.
