Hindu Samrajya Utsav in Rashtrotthaana Vidya Kendras
June 19 & 20: Hindu Samrajya Utsav was celebrated with diligence and devotion in Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra Schools across Karnataka State. This day is celebrated to commemorate the coronation of Shivaji Maharaj, who defeated the Mughals and founded the Hindu Empire at Raigad 350 years ago. When Shivaji was a child, his mother, Jijabai, instilled in him a sense of patriotism. Because of this he bet to establish the Maratha Empire against the Mughals. Although there was no state or army, he gathered some of his own people and started fighting against the Mughals. Following a guerilla warfare strategy, he captured one fort after another from the Mughals and eventually succeeded in establishing a Hindu Empire.
ಜೂನ್ 19 & 20: ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯಾದ್ಯಂತ ಇರುವ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ ಶಾಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂದೂ ಸಾಮ್ರಾಜ್ಯೋತ್ಸವವನ್ನು ಶ‍್ರದ್ಧಾ-ಭಕ್ತಿಗಳಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. 350 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಶಿವಾಜಿ ಮಹಾರಾಜರು ಮೊಘಲರನ್ನು ಸೋಲಿಸಿ ರಾಘಗಢದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂದೂ ಸಾಮ್ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿ, ಪಟ್ಟಾಭಿಷೇಕಗೊಂಡ ಸವಿ ನೆನಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಶಿವಾಜಿಯು ಬಾಲ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾಗ ತಾಯಿ, ಜೀಜಾಬಾಯಿ ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ದೇಶಭಕ್ತಿಯ ಭಾವನೆಯನ್ನು ಮೂಡಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಇದರಿಂದಾಗಿ ಆತ ಮೊಘಲರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಮರಾಠಾ ಸಾಮ್ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಪಣತೊಟ್ಟನು. ರಾಜ್ಯ, ಸೈನ್ಯ ಏನೂ ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೂ ತನ್ನದೇ ಆದ ಒಂದಷ್ಟು ಜನರ ಗುಂಪನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಮೊಘಲರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಹೋರಾಟವನ್ನು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದನು. ಗೆರಿಲ್ಲಾ ಯುದ್ಧ ತಂತ್ರವನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ ಮೊಘಲರ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಒಂದೊಂದೇ ಕೋಟೆಯನ್ನು ವಶಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ, ಕೊನೆಗೆ ಹಿಂದೂ ಸಾಮ್ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾದನು.
