Aksharabhyasa and Vidyarambham was conducted for the newly joined students. Parama Pujya Swami Girijatmanandaji of Ramakrishna Ashram graced the occasion and blessed the gathering.
Prathigna Sweekar Samarambha was held in the school premises on 6th June. Elected students were sworn in in a grand ceremony presided by the Sub-Inspector of Police, Kengeri Police station Sri B K Shekar.
World Environment Day was celebrated in the assembly on 5th June. In this regard, a cycle rally was organized on 9th June to create awareness on Reduce-Reuse-Recycle Plastic from Aditya Bakery, Dr. Vishnuvardhan road to Rangamandira, R R Nagar. Asst. Commissioner of Police Sri Prakash and G K Shenoyji, Joint Secretary, RVK BSK inaugurated the Rally. Students (of class 6 to 10), Teachers and many parents participated in the rally making it a grand success.
Kargil Vijay Diwas was celebrated on 26th July. Mr. Nagendra of the Yuva Brigade precided the celebration as our Chief Guest. He motivated the students to remember our soldiers and their sacrifices every day. He also quoted the incidence of Yogendra Singh Yadav and his sacrifices and moved the audience. Few teachers put up a skit based on the Kargil War while few others sang a song apt to the occasion.
International Yoga Day was celebrated on 18th June with zeal and enthusiasm through many activities. Dr. Vijayalakshmi Balekundri, a leading Pediatric Cardiologist and Major S. Girish Kashyap presided the occasion as Chief Guest of the day. They motivated our students to lead a healthy and active life. Later they joined the students in performing yoga. With a view to spread awareness about Yoga, a team of expert student performers performed yoga at Adithya Bakery, and Rajatadhri Palace, Uttarahalli Kengeri Main Road.
Hindu Samrajya Diwas was celebrated on 26th June during school assembly. Sri Anand Kumar N S graced the occasion and motivated the students towards being good citizens of Bharat.
Guru Poornima was celebrated on 27th July. Sri Sundaresh, R & D advisor at Hindustan Motors and Chansandra Nagara Sangha Chalak, presided as Chief Guest and motivated the students.
Independence Day was celebrated in the school. We were fortunate as Parama Pujya Sri Mohanji Bhagawat, Sarasangha chalak, RSS blessed us by being our chief guest of the day.
In his motivational speech, Adaraniya Mohanji Bhagawat emphasized the significance of the self identity in us, which helped us gain our independence. He quoted great sons of India like Lok Manya Tilak and urged the future generation to upkeep the spirit of freedom. He also urged the students to do their duty and earn their living without hurting others.
Students marched to glory during the troupe march followed by a patriotic song by the school choir group. A group dance based on a patriotic song and a sports display added charm to the program.
Raksha Bandhan was celebrated in the school on 27th August. The programme included a song on Raksha, significance of the day, and a wonderful dance performance. After tying the raksha to each other, our students went to the neighbouring colleges, schools and community centres like post office, health centres, police stations, etc. spreading the message of love and brotherhood.
Sri Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated on 4th Sept with a lot of zeal and devotion. The evening celebration was anchored by Smt. Madhavi . Kum Ahana of 8B gave the significance of the festivities. Along with the pot breaking competition , students swayed to the beats of music after the wonderful dance.
Ganesha Chaturthi Celebrations with Ganesha Puja simultaneously bhajans were sung by the students. Significance of Ganesha Chaturthi was explained, a group dance was with a devetional song was performed by students much to the amusement of the audience. Five days long ganesha celebrations came to an end with the visarjan on 17 September. The Lord was given a fabulous sendoff. The nature friendly idol was taken in a procession in all the floors of the school building with the ghosh playing energetic tunes and the students and teachers dancing in front. Later it was immersed in a water drum in the school ground.
