  • "Chandana" program was celebrated on 29th March in the evening from 5.30pm onwards. The program was to highlight the significance of Moonlight in our life. Ayurveda says that Moonlight has the healing power. Pradeep.D.R, RSS Bengaluru Jila Samarpaka Pramukh was the chief guest for the day. He spoke about the significance of the day Maheshwariahji also attended the program. The teachers sang and danced on the occasion and we had a Moonlight dinner.
  • Holi was celebrated in the school by the teachers of Std I to Std V on 29th March 2021. The significance of the day was addressed by Arpita. Students danced and sang the glory of Krishna and Radha. "Holika Dahan" was done by burning Holika. The legend is that Prahlad, the devotee of God Vishnu was saved from the asura, Hiranyakashipu by killing him with the claws by lord Narashimha. Another legend associated with the festival is that Lord Krishna and his consort Radha in the Braj region is celebrated in commemoration of the divine love between Radha and Krishna by throwing colours on each other celebrated as Rang Panchami.
  • Shaheed Diwas was observed on 23rd March. The sacrifices of the great leaders were acknowledged. Bhagat Singh ,Shivaram Raj guru, and Sukh Dev Thapar who laid their life for India's freedom. The patriotism of these revolutionaries and their sacrifices was addressed by Raaga Manvitha , Sahana and Tejaswini of Std VI. Tribute was offered to the great martyrs.
  • Saraswathi Pooja was celebrated on 19th March 2021. Teachers had completed the online videos and interactive classes on 18th March 2021. To invoke the blessings of Saraswathi, a Pooja was conducted. A melodious, Devotional song reverberated in the campus. A graceful and rhythmic dance was performed by our students. The parents and students were asked to perform Pooja at home to the goddess of knowledge.
  • Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa Jayanthi was celebrated on 15th March. Nainruthi of Std V spoke about the childhood of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Navatej spoke about the contributions and achievements of the great saint. The search for absolute truth was highlighted by the children. Swami Vivekananda was the great and prominent disciple of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa among many disciples.
  • Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan Jayanthi was celebrated on 15th March 2021. The students spoke about the great Soldier's, Childhood, Education contribution and his sacrifice for the country. The brave act of Sandeepji was highlighted and homage was paid to the great soldier.
  • Mahashivaratri was celebrated on 9th March 2021. The significance and the legends associated with the festival was highlighted by Sai Bharathi of Std VIII. Students sang devotional songs of lord Shiva and a dance was performed.
  • Maharshi Dayanand Saraswathi Jayanthi was celebrated on 8th March 2021. Ananya of class 8th spoke about the Social worker and his contribution towards universal brotherhood. He was a renowned Vedic scholar, Founder of Arya samaj and his contributions towards the revival of Hindu society and the Vedas.

"Jaigopal Garodia Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra" popularly known by its acronym JGRVK, is one of the premier educational institutions of Bangalore. The three branches in Bangalore speak about the popularity and trust it has generated in terms of education and focused dedication towards shaping all-rounded global citizens.

The orientation and nurturing of the students are based on "Panchamukhi Shikshana' i.e., the understanding of the real world that he or she lives in. We successfully provide holistic education that encourages students to excel in multiple disciplines, such as academics, sports, art /craft, music and dramatics.

Activities

Bharathiya culture has survived because in every generation the best among us have lived by certain fundamental values. We see many examples of this in our history. Starting from the rishis in the Vedic period, we see several divine personalities like Mahavira, Buddha, Ashoka, Shankara, Madhvacharya, Krishnadevaraya, Akbar, Basava, Guru Govind Singh, Gandhi, Lal Bahadhur Shastri etc. who have spread these values through their preachings and examples.

Field trips and Excursion pertinent to themes of the curriculum are a common feature at JGRVK, especially for Kindergarten, Primary and Middle -senior school students. Students eagerly look forward to these trips as they provide them with the much needed hands on experience about the things they learn. The field trips supplement the learning and cement it with the visual aspect. Further , students are trained to develop self- confidence and self esteem so that they are able to take independent decisions.

The school organizes trekking camps and summer camps with this purpose in mind. The summer camp is organized in the school not only to allow extra time for sports activities but also to identify potential talents in areas of Swimming, Art /Craft, Drawing/Painting, Dance, Music etc.

Exhibitions help the student to express his/her views on what is happening in the world around him and on the prescribed topics. Besides expressing personal thoughts, feelings students also gets hands on experiences and good exposure. JGRVK organizes annual exhibition, were children put their talents in the form of exhibits which they have created during their project periods.We have Science and technology, Mathematics, Social Science and all languages- English, Hindi, Kannada and Sanskrit exhibits.
A superior Band helps to develop character, good behavior, discipline, sportive spirit, team coordination and provides students with an Ideal "OUT" for their energies. Troop of students are trained by a Special trainer focusing on Bharathiya Ghosh system.

Most of the projects are related to our daily life situations and many working models are also included. –Different organ systems, bio-diversity, volcanoes, periodical table, states of matter, circuits, wastewater management, models based on Newton's colour disc, pressure exertions, close and open circuit , energy transformation and application of some scientific principles in day to day life.
In order to develop the competitive spirit and to motivate and to enhance their general knowledge, External examinations like OYMPIAD EXAMS- IEO,ICE,ISO, IMO and ASET examinations are conducted for the students.
